Let it snow!Let it snow!Let it snow!

Yes indeed the "weather outside is frightful"...and I seriously love it!
It feels so good for the French nerdy me to see snow here...cause what's Christmas time
without snow right? I'm sure my Norwegian fellow understands me here, right Chrissy? ;)
Now it just started, here is a picture of my front yard:

And here's our backyard...you usually see big mountains in the back but the sky is so full right now that you can't see anything:

Check the temperatures and see what I mean:

Now I'm gonna snuggle under the blanket with my man when he comes back home, grab a box of Kinder and watch a movie!

Christmas is upon us people...have a great one!

My favorite serial killer

Dexter season 3 has come to an end and as usual it leaves us craving more than the short 12 episodes seasons we are given. Now at first when I started watching Dexter I was a bit skeptical, thinking there has to be something else to it because how do they expect us to follow a show which main character is a serial killer? It is quite obvious that for a tv show to work you have to build some kind of connection between the characters and the audience, our simple minds have to rely to them, recognize ourselves in them so that we are left wanting some more every week...now how do you do that with a serial killer character?
That's the genius of these books written by Jeff Lindsay and put to the screen life by Michael Cuesta and James Manos Jr
. Dexter Morgan is not just some serial killer, his victims are always killers themselves...so you think he is some kind of hero actually ain't he? It is this psychological duality that makes this show interesting. Dexter is a serial killer, he doesn't have any feelings (or so he claims, I actually think he has them buried after the murder of his biological mother and he becomes aware of them in this last season, especially in the last episode), enjoys killing and yet he also is a forensic for the Miami police,is willing to protect and help his step-sister and is engaged in a serious relationship to Rita whom kids he cares for.
So for all this your affection for the character grows and he is also demonstrating the part of darkness we all have in us.
Dexter and Rita finally tied the knot in this season finale and Dexter is about to become a father...this is some major change that is gonna be interesting to watch.

ps: Here is our lovely Julie Benz (aka Rita in Dexter
and Darla in Buffy the Vampire Slayer for those of you who were a fanatic like me!) as a brunette...what do you think?
I love the angelic Rita but I also love the sexy Julie!!

You cannot escape the French!

For those of you who do not know me I was born and raised in famous France right next door to the even more famous Paris...that was until a year ago when I packed my suitcases, kissed my family and friends goodbye and grabbed a plane, direction : LAX!
Now this is where it gets interesting. I think the US suffer from a FWS, translation: French Wannabee Syndrome! LOL Why will you ask? Simply because you cannot go anywhere without seeing French!
Let me explain...When you are in France, you go to the fast food and what do you ask with your hamburger?-Fries-. Well here when you go to a Bad Health Temple you order -French Fries-. If French fries are actually French remains a mystery and a subject of discord between French and Belgians who both claim they invented it...the truth is probably that they both did at a different time...after all there is no genius in putting sliced potatoes in a bath of boiling oil! Though not to offend anyone I'll play British and call them Chips!LOL
If you think that stops here you are wrong. The American people seem to love to call everything French, probably cause then it sounds better to them...Here's a little collection:
-French fries
-French beans
-French vanilla
-French roast coffee
-French door
-French dressing (what us Frenchies would call "Vinaigrette")
-French horn
-French maid
-French manicure
-French poodle
-French press
-French toast (this one is understandable since it comes from a French recipe)
...not to forget of course the famous:
Photobucket
French Kiss!! (Not complaining about this one for sure!XD)

Oh and one of my favorites: "Pardon my French"...mainly used to excuse your use of a bad word...this is priceless, I think they know our love for the cursing sport very well!

So next time you go to the US remember it is a land invaded by the French...things!
